ABOUT JONATHAN BROWN

Jonathan Brown was born November 24, 1963 in Muncie, Indiana.

Brown made his way to Utah after a two year Mormon missionary stint in Bolivia where he became he says "chronically moldy" in the Amazon rainforest.

Brown attended Salt Lake Community College where he drew for the campus Horizon until he landed a cartooning job at

the Davis County Clipper in Bountiful, Utah.

In 1997 Jonathan Brown became one of a handful of free-lance editorial cartoonists vying for a permanent spot at the Deseret News in Salt Lake City. A year later, he had risen to the top of the competition and earned his current spot as Deseret News Editorial Cartoonist.

Brown's award-winning work is distributed nationally and internationally.
